If you’re looking for a job that allows you to work at home, be your own boss, and earn you money, try becoming a Roomorama Ambassador.
What do you do? Hunt for the hippest and trendiest pads in your neighborhood. Your friend might be a stewardess or an entrepreneur who never stays at home. Just get the owner of that space to list his property on Roomorama (listing is free) and you can cash in on the property’s first booking. (more…)
I’ve always been interested in monetizing my blog but never really got around to doing it. One, many monetizing opportunities require your own domain name and it was only recently that I got mine. Two, I find it hard to trust these paid-per-post sites. I’m worried that it might be a scam or it might take you too long to actually earn something. (more…)
I haven’t been updating my blog, I know. To tell you the truth, I’ve been busy with freelancing work that I haven’t really had the time to update any of my blogs.
Why freelancing? I have been doing freelancing work since 1999 when I had my on-the-job training in Communication Foundation for Asia. This is the same group that publishes educational and spiritual materials like Pambata, Gospel Komiks, etc. I was an OJT with them to fulfill my requirements for my Journalism degree. But this gig turned out to be a good source of income for me because I was paid for every article I wrote and that they published.
Since then, I’ve had several freelancing gigs, including an editor-in-chief post for a Hong Kong-based newspaper for OFWs. My work in the newspaper then also gave me an extra pay for every article I wrote.
My freelancing gigs are seasonal. I only do it when I feel like it. Recently, when I went on a two-week Christmas vacation (it was a company vacation), I tried freelance writing once more. I am now working for three clients and the pay is not bad at all. It would allow me to save enough to have a nice out-of-the-country vacation with my husband.
I’ll share more about this later.
